Bonfire Schedule

This is just a rough guideline to approximate times of some of the more interesting events. For specific schedules of the societies, please refer to the programmes they sell, available from various pubs and the Tourist Office. Please support the societies by buying their programmes. The societies are entirely self-funded. Without our support they could not exist.
5.20pm Commercial Square Children’s Procession: Elephant and Castle
5.35 Waterloo Children’s Procession: Market Lane
5.45 South Street Children’s Procession: South Street
5.45 Cliffe Ladies’ Barrel Run: Cliffe High St
6.15 Cliffe Men’s barrel Run: Cliffe High St.
From approx 6.30-7.15 Remembrance at the War Memorial
7.10 Cliffe Second Procession
7.40pm United Grand Procession: Starts in Western Road
Firework display (9.30-10ish) and Bonfire Prayers (11.30-12ish) sites:
Cliffe: Ham Lane (tickets needed to be bought beforehand)/Cliffe Corner
South Street: Railway Land (off Railway Lane)/South Street
Commercial Square: Landport Recreation Ground/Commercial Square
Waterloo: Malling Brooks/front of Crown Inn
Borough: Landport Bottom (off Neville Road)/front of Law Courts
Southover don’t as yet have a firesite, though plans are afoot, possibly for next year. Bonfire prayers outside the King’s Head.
Remember remember: Please donate generously to the societies who make this amazing evening possible. Thousands of Lewesians have been working for months to make the Night possible. Have fun, be safe and don’t be druv.
