This week’s best photograph was one of a batch sent in by hypnotherapist Michael Lank. “I got up early on that morning when it was really frosty and cold in December,” he says. "I went walking by the Heart of Reeds, and when I was adjacent with the Snowdrop I saw this scene.” We must admit here, that we are not showing the picture, originally in portrait format, in its full glory: in the original version you can see the cliff looming above. “Afterwards,” continues Michael “I doctored it a bit in Photoshop, using the vignette tool, it to make the sides and top darker and saturating the colour a little.” Nothing wrong with that. We love the vapour rising off the river, the birds on the framework and the fact that the picture reminds us that Lewes is, after all, on a water. As we insist on repeating we love getting your pictures,
so keep sending them in.

Michael can be contacted about his hypnotherapy business on info@michaellank.co.uk.
