This week’s picture was sent in by regular contributor Andy Grant. “I took it in the Ram in Firle on Boxing Day after a walk over the hills from Lewes,” he says. “What I like about it is the shimmering lights which remind me of the particular feeling of being in a country pub at Christmastime.” We also like the way the fellow on the right’s Clothkits-style jumper is reflected in all the glasses, and the earnest look on both men’s faces. “I was the only one who didn’t realise that there were no trains that day, and we had to walk back in the dark,” says Andy. “It was all part of the fun.” We love receiving your pictures. Please carry on sending them in. From next week we will also be publishing in this section of the magazine a scene of old Lewes life with a caption, courtesy of Reeves, the photographers in the High Street.
