So that’s it for another week, a wet one with gale force winds which made cycling down the wrong hills very difficult and up the wrong ones impossible. A week in which it was revealed that eating curries is damn good for you, as long as they contain turmeric. And a week in which it came to light that in the fifties Britain and France were considering a merger. Fritain? Brance? That would have been interesting. Miles Kington for President?

This week, we’d like to thank the following people who helped us in the making of issue 53 of Viva Lewes: Nicholas Bagnall and family for their time and lovely tea, Sir John Tomlinson for his patience, Penelope Cave, Danny Cooklin, Ivan from Fat 45, Dave Harrison, Michael Kingscote, Rik Child, Andrew Fisher, John McDonell, Andy Grant and Darren Baggs.

This week’s contributors are: William Leith, Jess Wood, Emma Chaplin, Esther McMahon, Dexter Lee, Emma Robertson, Steve King, Adrienne Campbell, Katie Moorman, Scott Chowen, Nick Williams and Alex Leith.
