This week’s picture was sent in by regular contributor Andy Grant, who took it on his Pentax Optio 540 during that rainy spell a couple of weeks back, from his kitchen overlooking the High Street. “It’s a view I see every day, of course, and I always like the simplicity of the sky above the two windows sitting framed in my window,” he says. “That day the raindrops on the pane added something to it.” Is that all? “Well, if you want to get all abstract-expressionist about it, the two windows look like eyes, and the raindrops like tears. This, I hasten to add, didn’t reflect my mood at the time. I was actually in a jaunty, upbeat frame of mind.” We love the way the picture reflects that ‘glad to be indoors’ feeling you get when the heavens open, though we feel sorry for the rubber plant, which looks like it would be happier on the other side of the window. We enjoy getting your pictures, as we keep on saying, so keep them coming.
