This week’s picture was sent in by regular contributor James Boyes, who took it at last week’s inaugural match at the new Wembley Stadium, where England U-21 drew 3-3 with Italy U-21. “Wembley is every bit as spectacular as it looks and I envy any supporter going to the FA Cup Final this year as the atmosphere will be incredible. There's not many occasions when you're as excited to be at the venue as you are for the event itself,” he says. “These seats were directly behind me,” he continues. “and I liked the pattern they made. They were empty throughout the match, and it made me wonder what sort of history would be seen from them over the years, when they are filled.” There were 55,000 at the game. “I saw the first goal at the new Wembley, and the first hat-trick, too,” he concludes. “Unfortunately they were both scored by an Italian.” He took the picture on a Canon 350D digital camera. As we keep saying, we love getting your pictures, so keep them coming in.
