This week’s photo is another culled from Lewes resident Simon Dale’s brilliant photo-blog Quotidian on which he uploads a daily photograph. “It’s of the rape fields over behind the prison, looking towards Ashcombe,” he says. “I was out there on Monday afternoon, at about 3 o’clock. It was a lovely misty afternoon. I loved the shape of the fields, and the shapes the tractors or whatever had made in them.” We love the shapes of the hills looming in the background, and the pleasant feeling of early summer the rape-fields instils in us. And we love the nutty curves of the tracks. Was there any reason for the driver to take such a strange route? Or did he have an artistic bent and know that Simon was coming? As we keep on saying please keep sending in your photos: we love getting them.
