Which Bonfire site do you go to? Commercial Square. It’s free entry - you just leave a donation - and in the last few years their display has been pretty mega.
Which newspaper do you read? I still read the Sussex Express, even though they’ve stopped printing my letters. I sometimes read the Morning Star or the Independent or the Daily Mirror, but not regularly. I’ve given up on the TV - 90% of it is crap - so I get most of my news from the radio.
What did you have for breakfast? A strong cup of instant coffee followed by a rollie.
Are you pro or anti the Phoenix Development? I’m sceptical. I think the whole area should be given over to affordable housing. I do think a cinema would be a good idea… but what about a theatre?
What’s your favourite Lewes landmark? I like the view from the Coombe up past the Snail. And I like the view of town from Trippy Valley over Offham way.
How would you spend a perfect Sunday afternoon? Going for a swim in the Pells, a short walk and finishing up at a party with some good music.
What’s on your hifi? I still listen to cheesy house music - that’s a generational thing. I also like indie stuff and a bit of funk and rock fusion. British Sea Power are good.
Could you do anything to be greener? I guess I could give up smoking, but it wouldn’t make much difference to the overall scheme of things.
Recommend a film: Downfall. It illustrates the crazy inappropriate things that people do when they are on the path to self-destruction. It’s amazing how many people act like that today. Tony Blair is one I could mention.
