That’s your lot, then, in a week in which an Azorean front pushed off the grey lid that’s been sitting on the sky and the subsequent bright sunshine reminded us that summer was, after all, on the way. A week in which the Cutty Sark, veteran of countless trips to China and back, was destroyed by fire during reparations in Greenwich. And a week in which Ruth Kelly got into trouble again, after her HIP replacement was put on the waiting list till August. Maybe Labour’s policy-making will go private soon.
