What’s your poison? Large tumbler of Baileys with ice at home whilst playing Solo Whist, which is a bit like poker. We play for 5ps and you have to be good at bluffing.
Waitrose or Tesco? Tesco. I collect the Air Miles.
What do you think about traffic wardens? I feel sorry for them. That uproar about the guy getting ticketed when he was asleep? I know the warden. They are not allowed to touch cars, so he couldn’t even tap on the window to wake the guy up.
Which newspaper do you read? The Argus. I don’t seem to have time for much else.
What’s your favourite Lewes landmark? I like the Martyrs' Memorial. Granddad made the first replica of the Martyrs' Memorial, which was let off on Cliffe Bridge as a set-piece on Bonfire night.
How would you spend a perfect Sunday afternoon? Lazing about watching the cricket.
What did you have for breakfast? Weetabix and tea.
Can you recommend a good film? The first version of the Count of Monte Cristo. I saw it on telly when I was about twelve, and got so fascinated, I read the book.
Where do you like to go for a meal out? I like the homemade pies at the Kings Head.
What does Lewes need? A combined theatre/cinema with enough comfy seats to go round. I used to help out at the Little Theatre. I started as Call Girl (not that kind - the one who gets the actors to their entry place on stage!), then assisted backstage. Eventually I was in the Wizard of Oz as a Munchkin. Then I went on to write and direct the mini-pantomimes at Wallands. My favourite was the last one I did there - Aladdin.
