This weeks photograph was taken by Kevin Orman of Lewes Cinema. “I was on my way back from a screening in Seaford, looking for a footpath down to the sea, when I suddenly came upon this apparently abandoned village called Tide Mills, just outside of Newhaven”, he tells me. “It was 8.40 in the evening in April, and it was actually very dark, but my camera (a Figi F30) is really good at the low light stuff. Its my favourite time to take pictures.” Kevin was attracted by the calmness of the water and the perfect reflections. “I also liked the way that the iron grid emerging from the water breaks the whole thing up. It’s a great contrast”, he adds. We like that too. We also like the perspective and the muted colours. As we keep saying we love getting your pictures so keep sending them in.
