Lewes Carnival Itinerary

10am Floats assemble at County Hall Car Park
11.30 Judging of the floats
12.00pm Procession leaves County Hall to Malling Rec, via St Anne’s Hill, High St, School Hill, Town Square, Cliffe High St, Malling St, Phoenix Causeway and Brooks Rd.
1.30 Procession enters showground in Malling Rec
2.00 Norman Baker MP and Mayor Jim Daly, plus Cochrane Young of the Rotary Club of Lewes open the event
2.10 The Warlords get the Carnival off with a bang.
2.20 Hunters Moon Morris Dancers
3.00 UKSA DARA Belly Dancers
3.30 East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service
3.45 Finesse Dancers
4.15 The Warlords Finale
5.00 Close of events

Events on the field include: Many stalls, refreshments and displays including Lewes Golf Club; Lewes RFC; a fire engine; St Johns Ambulance, Lewes Victoria Hospital; caravans by Autoworld Leisure Ltd, ‘Car Corner’; Palmers Tractors; Practical Vehicle Hire; The Harveys Beer Bus, The Warlords and William Cole’s famous Fairground. Entrance is free and proceeds will go to Victoria Hospital and the Lewes branch of St John’s Ambulance.
