Weather forecast
An unsettled week in prospect, with cloudy skies occasionally dropping their load as temperatures keep well down below the twenty centigrade mark: pretty par for the course in June, then, whatever our expectations. After the weekend things should brighten up, with south eastern areas becoming warmer, as the sun, nearing its highest point, burns through thinning cloud cover. Radio and TV
TV Movie Highlight
Scooby Doo (Sat 16th June, 6.10pm, ITV). Rubbish live action version of the brilliant evergreen ‘pesky kids’ ghost-hunting cartoon. Why are we telling you this? It’s THE ONLY FILM on terrestrial TV (excluding C5, which you can’t get round here) this week. Shame on them.
This week’s Private Passions (Sunday 10th, 12 noon, Radio 3) features poet David Harsent detective novelist, aka detective novelist, David Lawrence, a Wagner and Gounod fan.
