What’s your favourite pub? I’ve drunk in all the pubs in Lewes, and now I drink in none. I sometimes like to go to the Five Bells at Chailey.
What’s your poison?
Self-doubt

Waitrose or Tesco?
Tescrose. Wherever suits at the time.
What do you think about traffic wardens? Parking issues in Lewes have put in the town a background level of rage that’s damaging. We could do without it. I blame the Council and the management for the way it was implemented, rather than the wardens.
Which newspaper do you read? The Guardian.
What’s your favourite Lewes landmark? The river. It’s so alive. I like the movement, the rhythm, the changes in mood. You also get wildlife like kingfishers, herons and the great grey mullet that you can’t catch because they’re smarter than you. I used to fish for years until I became a healer.
What’s your favourite view in Lewes? Standing on Willey's Bridge looking up or down river.
How would you spend a perfect Sunday afternoon? [after prolonged laughter that can only be described as filthy] Going for a local country walk with my family, encompassing woods, the river and nature.
What did you have for breakfast? I had lunch for breakfast. A mug of tea and a pasty.
Can you recommend a good film? Apocalypse Now. I remember going to the Odeon when it still existed in Lewes. Lovely Art Deco building. After it closed and became derelict, you could still go in, see the ripped curtains, water dripping down the walls.
And somewhere to eat out? I like the Riverside Sandwich Company. Hot salt beef with pickle, dripping with mustard.
What does Lewes need? Not to lose its soul through over-development.
