Hilary Swank won an Oscar for her performance in this tragic true-life tale, as Brandon Teena, the woman who was raped and murdered for passing as a man in small town Nebraska.
This week’s Private Passions (Sunday 1st, 12 noon, Radio 3) features 17th and 18th century historian Linda Colley, who chooses music she’s come across during her research, as well as pieces by Britten, Bach and Stravinsky.
