More of the same, as the jet stream pushing the depressions over the Atlantic continues aiming much further south than normal for this time of the year and we continue getting Iceland’s weather as a result. If you’re planning a barbeque, Sunday looks your best bet, as a shower-free day is forecast. Though a wet-weather alternative would be best arranged, just in case. This week’s Private Passions (Sunday 8th, 12 noon, Radio 3) features jazz trombonist and classical composer Scott Stroman, so expect a little Duke Ellington amidst the Bach and Haydn.
