Which newspaper do you read? The Guardian, Socialist Worker, El Pais, Folha de Sao Paulo.
What’s your favourite Lewes landmark? The twittens - every one of them - secret flinty causeways linking top to bottom. Especially good after a heavy frost or snow.
And your favourite view? Lewes in flood seen from the golf course - the flood plain as it should be - it's the future - a haven for reed-dwelling wildlife of all kinds.
How would you spend a perfect Sunday afternoon? Cycling out to see the Kittiwakes on the cliffs at Seaford with a pint of cider at the Ark in Newhaven on the way home.
Recommend somewhere to eat.
The Cricketers at Berwick for ham, egg and chips or Chaula's on Station Street for delicious homemade Paneer rolls. Lewes suffers from a surfeit of awful pizza chains and mediocre pub food.
What does Lewes need?
A proper planning policy with social housing given priority over property speculation.
What would you like done in the North Street area? Turn the land into a beautiful water meadow with a canoeing centre.
What did you have for breakfast
: Smoked eel, rye bread and black coffee.
Recommend a good holiday read:
Murder in Samarkand by Craig Murray. A brilliant exposure of corrupt British foreign policy during the ‘war on terror’.
