Name: Rachael Moncrieff.
Business Name: Our shop is called Bramble Corner - and it’s the new toyshop in the Needlemakers.
Who runs the business?  There are four of us - myself, my partner Giles, my sister Selma and her partner Hamish.
How long have you been running the business? We’ve only been open in Lewes for just over three weeks, but we’ve been in the toy business via our main shop in Forest Row for the past three years.
What kind of toys do you sell? We specialise in quality ‘real toys’ - many handmade - from around the world. We also sell a range of toys and games from well-known toy brands including Scalextric, Hornby, Meccano and Like Bikes.
What was on the premises before?
We are the nearest shop to the café, and I believe it used to be a company called Global Creations.
What’s the most expensive product you sell? We sell a range of children’s cars, and the top of the range is a beautiful handmade electric Bugatti car which retails at £2000.
And the cheapest? We also sell sweets from jars, including a penny chew.
And the most unusual? Possibly our 1930’s style leather football and rugby balls, or Kappla, which is a set of architect-designed wooden blocks.
Is there anything that irritates you about your business? Nothing in Lewes as yet - we’re enjoying our start up so far.
What is your favourite shop in Lewes? Adamczewski on School Hill.
Recommend somewhere to eat out? We’re still very new to the town, but have become instant fans of the Lewes Arms.
