Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September
Starfish Youth Music at the All Saints
If you’ve never heard of Starfish, it’s basically a fantastic music club, which allows kids in the Lewes District to compose, rehearse, record and perform their own work. High quality instruments and recording equipment is provided, with professionally trained musicans also giving help and assistance. Kids from 9-19 can take part, and as part of the process, each year they put on a number of shows to showcase their efforts. A few weeks back various Starfish members performed acoustically in the Paddock, whilst the Honeycuts also performed at the recent Newhaven Fort mini festival alongside Brighton band British Sea Power. Over the next two days you can see and hear a whole bunch of bands latest efforts as they perform on stage at the All Saints Centre in Friars Walk. On Saturday the seniors take to the All Saints stage, with a whole host of performances taking place between 7-10.30pm. Tickets, which can be purchased in advance from lewes travel on station St, cost £6 to adults and £3 for kids. On Sunday it’s the Juniors turn to perform and tickets are priced at £4 and £2.
