Open daily from 9.30am to 6pm the centre has 15,000 sq ft of play space ready and available for your kids to go crazy in. The centre incorporates three separate soft play areas, specifically designed for under 2’s, 2-5’s, and 5-12 yr olds. They cater for parties with four separate party areas, and there is also a cafÈ and seating area on hand to keep the parents sane during the 90-minute sessions. Newhaven Fort
This is always a good option for a family day out, with a whole variety of exhibitions always on display. Many of the displays are dedicated to the role played by Sussex regiments in various wars, particularly the first and second world wars. There is also an adventure playground and a good cafÈ, as well as Newhaven’s West Beach to explore afterwards.

Observatory Science Centre – Herstmonceux
The centre offers hands-on science and discovery amongst the domes and telescopes of its astronomical observatory. Over 100 interactive exhibits including giant science equipment in the outdoor Discovery Park and new Water Park. The Science Centre is set in the grounds of the former Royal Greenwich Observatory at Herstmonceux. The Centre is open from 10am, 7 days a week from 28th Jan to 3rd Dec, and has ample free parking.
