Raystede Animal Welfare
Founded back in 1952, Raystede is an animal sanctuary, caring for around about 1500 animals at any one time. Some like the dogs and cats are looking for new homes, others, including horses and donkeys are taken in and given care for the rest of their lives. The site also has a lake area, offering sanctuary to hundreds of ducks, geese and moorhens. It’s free to get in, but please donate as much as you can, because it is donations that help to keep this fantastic facility open. The centre is open daily between 10am and 4pm. For more information call 01825 840252 or visit http://www.raystede.org/
